Jennifer Lopez continues to make a splash with her upcoming projects. Along with her return to the big screen, J-Lo is making her return to the rom-com genre, reteaming with STXfilms on new feature Marry Me.
Along with the casting of Lopez, Owen Wilson is in final negotiations to star in the feature that is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby.
Marry Me centers around a pop superstar (Lopez) who, moments before marrying her rock-star fiance at Madison Square Garden, finds out that he was cheating on her with her assistant and spontaneously melts down on stage and picks a random math teacher (Wilson) out of the crowd to marry instead.
John Rogers and Tami Sagher wrote the script with a little help by Harper Dill. Kat Coiro, who is known for her work on TV with directing shows like The Mick, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is set to take helm of the film.
