Jason Mamoa Comments on Justice League Reshoot Controversy

The ongoing situation between Ray Fisher and Warner Bros. regarding the issues on the set of the Justice League reshoots continues to grow. For cinephiles unaware, Joss Whedon was brought on to rewrite portions of the film and oversee reshoots after Zack Snyder left the project. During San Diego Comic-Con 2017, Ray Fisher and his fellow cast-members took the opportunity to promote the Joss Whedon version of the film. At the time, Fisher said,

“Joss is a great guy and Zack picked a good person to come in and clean up and finish up for him.”

Since then, Fisher took to Twitter to “forcefully retract” his previous statements and the actor later alleged that production on the films reshoots were full of misconduct, specifically singling out Joss Whedon as well as producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.

Now Aquaman himself is stepping up the plate for Fisher,  Jason Momoa voiced his support for Fisher last week with a #IStandWithRayFisher post on his Instagram account. He added another post stating,

“THIS SHIT HAS TO STOP AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT,” wrote Momoa in an Instagram post. “@ray8fisher AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO EXPERIENCED WHAT HAPPEN UNDER THE WATCH OF @wbpictures NEEDS PROPER INVESTIGATION.”

He also commented on the Frosty The Snowman casting stating,

“I just think it’s fucked up that people released a fake Frosty announcement without my permission to try to distract from Ray Fisher speaking up about the shitty way we were treated on Justice League reshoots,” wrote Momoa. “Serious stuff went down. It needs to be investigated and people need to be held accountable. #IStandWithRayFisher. aloha j”
