Interview with the Vampire AMC Show Hires Alan Taylor

AMC has found their director for the upcoming Interview with the Vampire series. The network has brought in veteran television director Alan Taylor to direct their Interview with the Vampire series. According to Variety, AMC has hired Alan Taylor to direct the first two episodes of the Interview with the Vampire series. Along with directing, Taylor will also serve as an executive producer on the series alongside Rolin Jones (Perry Mason) who will also serve as the showrunner and writer for the series with a premiere set for sometime in 2022.

Why the name Alan Taylor may sound familiar to many is he’s previously directed the pilot for Mad Men at AMC, along with episodes of Game of Thrones, The Sopranos and he helming the upcoming prequel to the series, The Many Saints of Newark.  Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios. Interview with the Vampire was the debut novel for author Anne Rice and was published in 1976. This novel then kickstarted her Vampire Chronicles franchise and eventually adapted into a 1994 film starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst and was a box-office hit grossing $224 million worldwide.
