Holmes & Watson “Wins” Worst Picture Of The Year At The Razzies

At Sunday’s Academy Awards the best of the best was awarded for their excellence and a couple of days before, the worst of the worst were “honored” at the 39th Annual Razzie Awards.

Holmes & Watson was the most despised movie of 2018 despite coming out in December of last year. Razzie awarded the film the year’s Worst Picture, Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel, Worst Director for Etan Cohen and Worst Supporting Actor for John C. Reilly. Will Ferrell was able to avoid winning Worst Actor for his role in the film because that distinction went to President Donald Trump for playing himself in archival footage of documentaries Death of a Nation and Fahrenheit 11/9.

Melissa McCarthy won Worst Actress for Life of the Party & The Happytime Murders. The actress was actually nominated for Best Actress at Sunday’s Oscars for her role in Can You Ever Forgive Me? which actually earned her the Razzie Redeemer Award.
