HBO is showing faith in three of its new fall shows. Westworld, Divorce, and Insecure have received season 2 renewals from the cable network.
Westworld has been an unqualified success, averaging 11.7 million viewers per episode to date when reruns, VOD and streaming airings are factored in. Divorce has averaged 4.4 million viewers by the same measure while Insecure has averaged 3.2 million viewers. HBO is stocking up on new shows, especially dramas, since Game of Thrones is heading into its final two seasons. All three shows have hit a button with fans and critics have also embraced them for the most part.
All three shows were renewed for 10 episodes and will not see any major casting moves or showrunner changes which indicates more stability with HBO after the expensive misfire, Vinyl, failed to entice viewers or critics.
