Harley Quinn Animated Series Coming To DC Digital Service

The DC digital service has just picked up its third series, and to the surprise of no one, it will focus on one of the most popular figures of DC.The platform has handed out a straight-to-series order for a Harley Quinn animated comedy. The series will be a 26-episode half-hour project and is based on characters from the DC Comics universe. In 2016, Harley Quinn was most recently played by Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad. It is being reported that Robbie will be asked to voice the character, although it is unclear as to whether or not Robbie will reprise her role for the animated series.

The project will also feature Poison Ivy and a variety of both heroes and villains from the DC universe. The animated series premise will follow Harley as she breaks away from Mr.J himself, the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal goddess of Gotham City.

Harley Quinn is the third series for DC’s digital platform and joins the live action Titans series and the animated series Young Justice.
