After speaking on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast, Hamilton the musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda stated that a potential Hamilton movie could be in the works.
Yes! Who knows when? I don’t think I’m done with that role, by any stretch.
No word yet on if there is a screenplay in the works nor a production or release date, but it would not be surprising if it hits the big screen soon. Broadway musical adaptations are common in Hollywood and given Hamilton‘s tremendous success and draw, this would be a film moviegoers would flock to see.
