Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Continues Marvel Dominance at Box Office

To the surprise of no one, the Marvel Cinematic Universe continued its dominance over the weekend as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opened to $154 million at the North American box office over the weekend. The total was 54 percent ahead of the first Guardians film and was one of the biggest growth spurts for a superhero series in recent memory. Rounding out the top 5 this week is The Fate of the Furious, The Boss Baby, How to be a Latin Lover, and holding strong at number 5 is Beauty and the Beast.
