Grey’s Anatomy Continues To Lead Scripted Programming On Thursday Night For ABC

Grey’s Anatomy, which featured a Charmed reunion of sorts with special guest stars Alyssa Milano & Holly Marie Combs, lead Thursday night programming once again as the ABC vet continues to be a ratings winner.

On ABC, Grey’s Anatomy pulled in a 1.4 demo rating and 6.09 million viewers, up a tenth from the previous Thursday. A Million Little Things was steady week to week, scoring the same 0.8 demo rating as its last episode with 4.23 million viewers tuning in. How to Get Away with Murder ended the night and posted its second straight 0.5 demo score with 2.23 million eyes watching on Thursday.

On The CW, Supernatural premiered its final season with a 0.4 demo score and 1.26 million viewers, on par with its 2018-19 averages. The season 2 premiere of Legacies followed it with a 0.3  demo rating and 824,000 viewers, also steady with its performance last season.

On NBC, Superstore (0.8, 2.79 million viewers), The Good Place (0.6, 1.92 million viewers), and Sunnyside (0.3, 1.18 million viewers) were all steady with their most recent outings, but the same could not be said for Perfect Harmony (0.4, 2.07 million viewers) and Law & Order: SVU (0.6, 3.42 million viewers), both of which fell a tenth from their previous episodes.

On CBS, Young Sheldon fell from its 1.1 final demo rating last Thursday to a 1.0 this time around, but still managed to score the largest audience of any of the night’s scripted shows (7.63 million viewers). The Unicorn (0.7, 5.15 million viewers) & Carol’s Second Act (0.6, 4.95 million viewers) ticked down a tenth week to week while Mom remained steady with a 0.8 demo score and 5.78 million viewers. Evil closed out the night and came up a tenth week to week with a 0.6 demo rating and 3.67 million viewers.

Recapping the latest Thursday ratings sees ABC in a good place thanks to Grey’s Anatomy and a steady performance from A Million Little Things. The CW also continued to show steady numbers during its premiere week while NBC might need to worry about Perfect Harmony and especially Sunnyside which is getting closer and closer to early cancellation. I also think CBS was expecting more from Evil and despite coming up a tenth, it’s still too low for the network.
