Grace And Frankie Renewed For Seventh And Final Season At Netflix

Grace and Frankie has been renewed for a seventh season but Netflix has also announced that it will be the swan song for the long-running series.

With the seventh season renewal, Grace and Frankie will end as the streamer’s longest-running original series. The show, which stars Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin, is getting a supersized run for its final outing. Season seven will consist of 16 episodes, bringing its episode total to 94 episodes. The addition of the three episodes for season seven allows it to outpace the recently concluded Orange Is The New Black.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin released a joint statement about the series ending:

“We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace and Frankie will be back for its seventh, though final, season. We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation. And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well! We’ll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we’ll still be around. We’ve outlasted so many things-just hope we don’t outlast the planet.”

Grace and Frankie, which also stars Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn, and Ethan Embry, has earned 11 Emmy and six SAG nominations since the beginning of its run. A premiere date for the final season was not available as of this writing.
