The Wrap has reported that the next film in the Cloverfield franchise will be God Particle.
Starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo, God Particle will follow a team of astronauts as they make a terrifying discovery, eventually ending up in an alternate reality. J.J. Abrams is back as a producer with Julius Onah in the director’s chair. The script will be written by Oren Uziel.
God Particle will be the third film as part of the Cloverfield universe, following this year’s 10 Cloverfield Lane and 2008’s Cloverfield. This is all part of Abrams plan to release one Cloverfield film a year with Paramount Pictures.
