As a huge fan of The Godfather trilogy, any new content revolving around the film is welcomed and Paramount Plus is building out the cast of the upcoming series The Offer. The series which tells the story of the making of the iconic film. The casting for the film just grew with the additions of Giovanni Ribisi, Colin Hanks, and Dan Fogler.
Variety first reported that the trio join previously announced stars Miles Teller and Matthew Goode. Ribisi is set to star as mob boss Joe Colombo. Hanks will play Barry Lapidus, a Gulf & Western executive with a lot of power over Paramount Pictures., while Fogler will star as Francis Ford Coppola, the legendary director who helmed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Mario Puzo.
The Offer is based on
“the experience of Oscar-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy (Teller), about the behind-the-scenes events of the original 1972 film. Goode will play producer Robert Evans.”
