Ghostbusters Sequel Lead Role Reportedly Revealed

2020 is eleven months away and its most anticipated film may already be reviewed. A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Jason Reitman will be writing and directing a new Ghostbusters film. Along with the news, a teaser trailer was also released. While the teaser gave nothing away regarding plot, the trailer surely did a great job of creating buzz.

Now news has been reviewed regarding the leads. 12-year-old actress Sarah Abbott, who appeared in episodes of Heroes Reborn and Black Mirror, is reportedly among the young tryouts auditioning for Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters 3, according to HN Entertainment.

First shared by HN Entertainment, the film’s character will include a 13-year-old boy described as “a conspiracy theorist” deeply into fantasy, and another is a 12-year-old girl described as a “science kid” who has difficulties connecting emotionally, unaware she makes comments others find offensive.

Descriptions for the remaining two leads have yet to surface. It was also noted on Twitter that the character auditioned for by Abbott is listed first on the breakdown, indicating the 12-year-old girl character is the leading role.

No news on any other actors currently auditioning for the other roles.
