Hulu has made the decision to not move forward with Marvel’s Ghost Rider, its planned live-action series starring Gabriel Luna.
Hulu picked up the series back in May from Disney sibling Marvel Television along with Marvel’s Helstrom to premiere in 2020. Helstrom is still moving forward but Hulu & the Ghost Rider creative team hit a creative impasse & it ultimately could not be resolved.
It’s also rumored that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige wants to use Ghost Rider in the MCU, with it further rumored Feige will most likely use a different version than the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider that appeared in Agents of SHIELD and was due to appear in the Hulu series, played by Gabriel Luna.
Hulu is still staying in the Marvel business with the third season of Marvel’s Runaways, the aforementioned Helstrom, as well as Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel’s Howard the Duck — set to roll out in 2020, culminating in a special event, Marvel’s The Offenders.
