Gal Gadot, Patty Jenkins Confirmed for Wonder Woman Sequel

This past weekend Wonder Woman took the world by storm. The film became the highest grossing opening weekend film directed by a female. With the success of the film, talks about a sequel have begun. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diana Princes herself,Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins are officially contracted for a second film and while the film is not confirmed as of this writing, it will have an entirely new setting.

Jenkins told Entertainment Weekly that the second solo Wonder Woman film will likely take place in America.

“The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right, She’s Wonder Woman. She’s got to come to America. It’s time.”

With the success of the first film, the excitement is high for the possibilities of a sequel.
