Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Reboot May Be Female Led

The trend of 90’s tv shows returning looks to be continuing. While 2017 brought us the return of Will and Grace, while 2018 will bring the return of Rosanne, it looks like Bel-Air may be welcoming a new resident as a reboot of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air may be in the works, however, it may be lead by a female.

NBC Universal, which owns the copyrights to the series, has reportedly filed a few new trademark applications for the rights to “Fresh Princess” on TV and other media platforms. The company also filed trademarks for “Fresh Princess” on merchandise that includes clothing, bags, backpacks, and footwear, which could signal the potential return of the popular 90’s sitcom. No word on whether or not Will Smith or any of the original cast members would be returning for the series.

This continues the Fresh-Prince news that began last month when the company filed new trademarks for merchandise under the original name of the show, which began to start rumors that a remake might be underway. The rumors have been fueled by  Will Smith, who recently shared artwork of the show by Howard Russell of The Sketch Lab.
