Fox Gives Rent: Live a Premiere Date

Fox has confirmed a premiere date for their next live musical production. Rent will debut on Sunday, January 27th before the NFL Conference Championship Games and Super Bowl LIII.  They plan to announce casting choices at a later time. The production will be executive produced by Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, Julie Larson, Al Larson, Vince Totino, Scott Hemming and Marla Levine.

Rent will be the next Fox live musical event after A Christmas Story for the network. It premieres December 17th with Matthew Broderick narrating Ralphie’s story. The production will be based on the 2012 Broadway production from Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television.
