Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Confirmed by Creator

Scott Cawthon, the creator of the beloved horror video game franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s, has confirmed the beginning of production on a feature film based on his games.  There has been many speculation of a movie adaptation ever since to first Five Nights at Freddy’s game exploded into popularity with its sequels coming shortly after.  The franchise gained much of its popularity on YouTube thanks to channels like Markiplier, Smike & The Game Theorist.  The scary moments and engaging story that spans through out the different titles in the franchise kept audiences coming back for reactions and theories based on the lore of the games.

A Five Nights of Freddy’s movie has been previously linked with Warner Bros. Studios, along with Gil Kenan rumored to be coming on as director.  This changed yesterday when Scott Cawthon put out his first tweet since creating his Twitter account in 2014. It was a vague message, as most of his announcement are, but it is clear that the film is under a new studio and production is ramping up.  As you can see in the tweet below, the outstanding horror studio, Blumhouse, is now in control of the upcoming FNAF movie.  With their recent work being as outstanding as it is, we cannot wait to see what they do with the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise.  Check back here for more updates on the film as they come out.
