The excitement for season 3 of The Boys just got bigger as Jensen Ackles has revealed his official look as Soldier Boy for The Boys Season 3.

The character is thought of as The Boys version of Captain America, Soldier Boy is the original superhero. Soldier Boy’s

“origin takes us back to 1944, the year Dr. Vought injected him with the Compound V serum. As a World War II veteran, Solider Boy was the perfect candidate to act as an example of the type of heroes Compound V could produce. He went on to kill countless German soldiers and even worked alongside Lady Liberty (Stormfront). Sometime later, Soldier Boy became the first celebrity superhero represented by Vought International. Soldier Boy led the team Payback in his time before the Seven were assembled.”

Showrunner Eric Kripke, who says fans were “clogging” his Twitter account with demands to see Ackles all suited up.

“When I cast Jensen as Soldier Boy, the first thing I said was, ‘I’m most excited for you, because of the amazing process you’ll go through with LJ, our Super Suit designer.’ It took six months but the experience surpassed Jensen’s expectations,” he said. “LJ has made a work of art that tips its hat to the WWII Soldier Boy from the comics while taking it in a sleek new direction. And if you think the photos are cool, just wait till you see Jensen in action. It’s one of my very favorite suits.”
