Fate: The Winx Saga Renewed For Season Two At Netflix

The troublemaking fairies of Fate: The Winx Saga will be making magic on the small screen for another season. Netflix has handed out a season 2 renewal to the young adult genre series.

Fans of the show will be treated to two more one-hour episodes in season two, which brings its order to eight episodes for its next run. Brian Young, who also scripted The Vampire Diaries and will be back next season as showrunner and executive producer, had this to say about the renewal:

“The six episodes in season one only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it. As Bloom’s story continues to evolve, I can’t wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa! And you never know who might show up at Alfea next term.”

Also returning is the lead cast which includes Abigail Cowen as the Fairy of the Dragon Flame, Hannah van der Westhuysen as the light-bending Solaria Guardian Fairy, Precious Mustapha as the Fairy of Waves, Eliot Salt as an earth fairy, & Elisha Applebaum as a mind fairy. Additional casting for the new season will be announced at a later date.

Fate: The Winx Saga is based on the Italian candy-coated cartoon confection, Winx Club. Winx Club is a global phenomenon & fans have followed the live-action series over to Netflix. The series premiered globally on January 22, 2021. Season two, which will bring our fairies back to the Otherworld to learn how to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, evil, and monsters, is set to shoot later this year in Ireland.
