Ezra Miller Hired By Warner Bros. To Pen New Script For The Flash

Ezra Miller is attempting to take a more active role in getting The Flash movie off the ground. Warner Bros. has hired the actor to pen the script for the long-awaited movie along with celebrated comics author Grant Morrison.

According to various reports, Miller & Morrison are looking to create a much darker take on the traditional Flash story. The approach would contradict the lighter take of John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein, the scriptwriters hired back in January 2018. The studio reportedly wants a merrier superhero movie given the success of Aquaman & the early favorable reaction to Shazam!

Miller is also in a race against time to get this film made because his current deal to play the Flash expires in May. Warner Bros. script choice could greatly affect the casting. If Daley & Goldstein’s lighthearted script is chosen, Miller may leave the project.
