El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie Scores 6.5 Million Viewers On First Weekend

El: Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, began streaming on October 11 on Netflix and now we finally have the viewership numbers for its first few days on the streamer.

El Camino drew 6.5 million total viewers in its first three days on the streaming platform. According to Nielsen, the movie also reached just under 8.2 million unique TV viewers. The film drew its biggest audience of the three days on day 1, totaling 2.6 million U.S. viewers in its first 24 hours.

Breaking down the demos, 36% of the film’s audience over its first three days were adults in the ages 18-34 demographic. For comparison’s sake, the final season premiere numbers for Breaking Bad totaled 5.9 million total viewers back in 2013. Essentially fans of the series, and few watchers who have discovered it since it went off the air, tuned into the film, likely generating numbers Netflix can be very happy about.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie saw the return of Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), who has to deal with the fallout from Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston) death. The film picks up directly after the series finale of Breaking Bad and sees Jesse hunted by the police.
