Director Brian De Palma Is Writing a Horror Film Based on Harvey Weinstein Scandal

The Harvey Weinstein scandal may be heading to the big screen. Brian De Palma, the director behind some of the films all time classics like Carrie and Scarface, told French publication Le Parisien that the disgraced producer is at the center of his latest work, a horror film based on Harvey Weinstein. Del Palma stated,

“I am writing a film about this scandal, which I am currently discussing with a French producer,”  “My character will not be called Harvey Weinstein. But it will be a horror movie, with a sexual aggressor, and it will happen in the film industry.”

“very closely because I know a lot of the people involved,” according to The Telegraph.

“As a director you have to get actors’ confidence and their love in order to be able to use their instrument in your movie. And to violate it on any level is just to me the worst thing you can do, just because of your gluttony or your lust,”

No word on when the film will be released, but the idea is sure to cause a stir in Hollywood.
