Last week news broke that Tim Miller had quit Deadpool 2. Despite the original vision for Deadpool being a collaborative passion project between Miller and Ryan Reynolds, the star of the film, it did not stop Miller from leaving the project.
According to different sources, Miller wanted to take the film in a completely different direction compared to the wants of Reynolds and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. While the trio wanted to make a film with a slightly lower budget, focusing on the gritty tone and vulgar humor, Miller wanted to take the film to a broader audience and in comparison to the big budget Marvel films.
