They saved the best for last. DC FanDome ended its online event with a much-anticipated panel and first teaser trailer at Matt Reeves’ The Batman, the upcoming superhero film set to be a reboot of the Batman film franchise with Robert Pattinson starring as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Prior to the panel, Warner Bros. leaked three photos for fans.
Production had to stop this past March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will resume this fall in early September. The Batman will feature an ensemble cast with Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell, joining Pattinson.
The Batman is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2021.
