Universal Pictures announced yesterday that it will release Damien Chazelle’s next film First Man on October 12, 2018 just in time to garner awards season buzz.
First Man is a biopic about the life of astronaut Neil Armstrong based on the novel by James R. Hansen. Written by Spotlight‘s Josh Singer, the film will tell the story of how Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon and the dangers faced by the Apollo 11 team during their historic mission. Ryan Gosling will collaborate again with his La La Land director and play Armstrong in the film.
