A teaser trailer has been released for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Luc Besson’s upcoming galactic soap opera based on the French comic series Valérian and Laureline by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières that originally debuted in 1967.
The film stars Dane DeHaan as Valerian and Cara Delevingne as Laureline as a pair of 28th-century government agents who must maintain peace and order throughout the universe. They embark on a mission to the city of Alpha, a city housing thousands of different species from all over the universe. Alpha’s residents work together uniting their talents and resources for the overall good. When a threat emerges to stop all of that, Valerian and Laureline must intervene and save the race.
