Pixar Animation Studios has released a teaser trailer for Cars 3, their next upcoming animated film. It appears the story will go much darker based on what fans of the franchise have seen in the teaser. Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) feels threatened by a new generation of faster racers, so much so that he has both a physical and mental crash during a racing tournament. Will he recover and get back in the race?
Cars 3 hits theaters June 16, 2017.
