Colin Hanks is heading back to the jungle. Hanks confirmed his appearance in the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hanks stated,
“I’m not allowed to discuss or confirm or deny anything involving the Jumanji sequel. With the exception of, I am in it.”
Back in 2017, Hanks played the grown-up version of Nick Jonas’ character Alex, a teen who had been stuck in the game for decades, only to be saved by four teenagers who also found themselves sucked into the game.
Original cast members Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian and Jonas are returning for the sequel. Ser’Darius Blain, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman and Morgan Turner are all set to return. While details on the film are being kept under wraps, production began in Hawaii earlier this year, Hanks was unable to join the cast on the set of the film. Hanks stated,
“I got to shoot all my stuff in Atlanta,” he said. “Since I was one of the characters that existed outside of the game, I don’t get the plush, tropical locale.”
