The CW saw another dip from Charmed on Sunday night as sports dominated the ratings.
On The CW, Supergirl managed to maintain a 0.4 demo score and 1.26 million viewers, but Charmed (0.3, 1.11 million viewers) fell a tenth for the second week in a row. I don’t think there is cause for concern yet but weekly drops is not a good sign for its future prospects.
On FOX, the fifth and final game of this year’s World Series posted a 3.9 preliminary rating in adults 18-49 and 14.64 million viewers, which like most of the World Series games this year, was noticeably down from the 5.5 early rating that 2017’s Game 5 broadcast scored (before adjusting down to a 5.3 final). Combined with a late afternoon NFL overrun (6.7, 23.54 million viewers), the live sports broadcasts helped to give FOX the overall win Sunday Night.
On CBS, heavier sports competition caused God Friended Me to hit a series low of 0.7 and 6.98 million viewers, down five-tenths from the 1.2 it had scored the previous Sunday. NCIS: Los Angeles (0.8, 7.05 million viewers) was also down three-tenths, while Madam Secretary (0.6, 5.56 million viewers) held steady.
On NBC, Sunday Night Football featuring the Saints vs. Vikings game paced slightly ahead of the World Series with a 4.0 demo rating and 12.80 million viewers. It’s possible that the World Series could pull ahead in the finals because the demo scores are so close but that remains to be seen.
On ABC, Dancing with the Stars: Juniors fell back down from a 0.8 to a 0.7 demo score and 3.96 million viewers while Shark Tank (0.6, 3.24 million viewers) tied its series low. The Alec Baldwin Show rounded out the night for the network with a 0.3 demo rating and 1.65 million viewers, even with its last episode.
