Cary Elwes Joins Black Christmas Remake

The Blumhouse remake of Black Christmas has added Cary Elwes to its cast. The actor will be playing a main part in the film but details of the role are being kept under wraps.

Elwes is joining Imogen Poots, Aleyse Shannon, Brittany O’Grady, Lily Donoghue, and Caleb Eberhardt. The film is set to be helmed by Sophia Takal & begins shooting in New Zealand very soon. Black Christmas is set to open on December 13, Friday the 13th, just a week shy of the original’s 45th anniversary.

Cary Elwes is probably best known for his role in The Princess Bride but he’s no stranger to horror having appeared in Saw, Saw 3D: The Final Chapter, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Bride, and Psych 9.
