Brooklyn Nine-Nine Scores Two Year High In NBC Debut

Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s move from FOX to NBC looks to be paying off as the fan favorite comedy series hit a two year high on the network.

On NBC, Brooklyn Nine-Nine scored a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 & 3.56 million viewers. That’s the best showing for Brooklyn Nine-Nine since Jan. 1, 2017, when it had an NFL-assisted 1.3 on FOX and the best same-day rating for any NBC Thursday comedy this season. The Good Place (0.9, 2.77 million viewers) and Law & Order: SVU (0.8, 4.01 million viewers) each improved a little on their last outings, and The Titan Games (1.6, 5.70 million viewers) held up nicely in its second week, falling only 11 percent from the 1.8 for its series premiere.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory led the night across the board, drawing its biggest total audience (13.34 million viewers) of the season and second-best 18-49 rating (2.4). Young Sheldon (11.95 million viewers, 1.9) and Mom (9.43 million viewers, 1.5) hit season highs in both measures, and new comedy Fam premiered with 7.34 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating, on par with Murphy Brown‘s premiere in the fall (7.5 million viewers, 1.1). SWAT equaled last week’s season-high 0.9 in the 18-49 demo and 5.81 million viewers.

On FOX, Gotham matched the 0.7 in adults 18-49 and 2.43 million viewers from its premiere last week while The Orville also came in at 0.7 demo rating and 3.05 million viewers, up 0.1 from a week ago.
