Paramount’s A Quiet Place Part II moved to second place with $9.4 million from 3,401 locations, representing a 22% drop from the weekend prior. In the Heights, director Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit Broadway musical failed continued to struggle at the box office as the film fell to the No. 6 spot with $4.3 million in revenues from 3,509 theaters, a 62% decline from its opening weekend. The film has grossed $19.8 million on the big screen to date and has not done well overseas as it released in 31 overseas markets and foreign ticket sales have barely surpassed $2.1 million.
