Black Widow Will Be Marvel Studios’ First Rated R Movie

While Avengers: Endgame is 3 months away, Marvel is set to change their ways when it comes to their film ratings. Black Widow will finally get her time in the spotlight and with that spotlight comes Marvel Studios’ first rated R film.

Marvel Studios has produced more than 20 PG-13 films over the last decade, but after the success of films like Logan and Deadpool and Disney’s upcoming purchase of 20th Century Fox, it makes sense for Marvel to take a stab at a rated R film. According to the Hollywood gossip site Crazy Days & Nights, Marvel Studios is moving forward with plans to make Black Widow their first R-rated movies. “If the experiment goes horribly wrong they have a woman to blame for it which is what this studio wanted.”

While that sounds extremely negative on the studio’s end, the track record of Marvel films should make sure that the film and experiment do not fail.
