Netflix has pleased fans of Black Mirror as we’re set to enter the new year. The streaming trailer dropped a trailer for Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, a new event film from their popular Black Mirror brand that is set to begin streaming tomorrow.

The synopsis reads, “In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge. Welcome back.” Rumors had been circulating for a bit as to when the film would launch and fans were given the good news just a day after Christmas.

Charlie Brooker’s anthology series was renewed for a fifth season back in March, although Bandersnatch is not thought to be a part of that order with Season 5 still to come at a later date. The film is being declared “A Black Mirror Event” and stars Fionn Whitehead,  Will Poulter, and Asim Chaudhry.

If the name Bandersnatch sound familiar it’s because it’s featured as a  fictional creature in Lewis Carroll’s 1872 novel Through The Looking Glass. It has also appeared in the poems “Jabberwocky” and “The Hunting Of The Snark.” Creatures bearing the name and references to the word have also appeared in various games, films and television episodes.
