HBO has handed out a season 3 renewal for their hit critical comedy, Barry. The news comes less than two weeks after the second season debuted on March 31.
Barry has received considerable critical acclaim since its debut. The series picked up three Emmy Awards for its first season including best actor in a comedy for Bill Hader, best-supporting actor in a comedy for Henry Winkler & best sound mixing for a comedy or drama series (half-hour) and animation.
The dark comedy follows Barry (Bill Hader), a hitman who discovers a passion for acting when he comes to Los Angeles on a job. In season 2, Barry is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting.
Barry also stars Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, and Henry Winkler while Hader serves as an executive producer on the series.
