Ash Vs. Evil Dead Canceled At Starz

Although the writing has been on the wall for awhile, Starz has officially canceled Ash Vs. Evil Dead after three seasons. The finale on April 29 will serve as its series finale.

Always renewed for an additional season before its premiere, the comedy launched in 2015 to 437,000 same-day viewers. Never a ratings breakout, Ash’s ratings have dwindled over the years with its April 15 installment slipping to 175,000 viewers (without DVR playback).

Bruce Campbell has stated recently that if the show was canceled, this would be the last we’d see of him & the character of Ash in the Evil Dead franchise. It has been a long run and he has always been a fan favorite so I’m bummed to know this could be the end of the iconic character.
