Anne Hathaway & Tina Fey To Lead Star-Studded Cast Of Amazon Anthology Modern Love

Amazon has set the cast for its upcoming anthology comedy series Modern Love which will tell stories based on the “New York Times” column and podcast.

The eight-episode anthology series will be lead by Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel, John Slattery, Brandon Victor Dixon, Catherine Keener, Julia Garner, Andy Garcia, Cristin Milioti, Olivia Cooke, Andrew Scott, Shea Whigham, Gary Carr, Sofia Boutella & John Gallagher Jr. The series has also landed former Shameless star, Emmy Rossum, who will be behind the camera as a director for some of the episodes. Tom Hall has also bee selected to helm episodes of the series.

Modern Love was one of the early pickups for Amazon Studios head  Jennifer Salke after she moved over from NBC. Modern Love hails from filmmaker John Carney (Once, Begin Again, Sing Street), who will write, direct, and produce Storied Media Group, and the “New York Times”. Over eight standalone episodes, the series will explore love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self-love. The series is currently in production in New York.
