Annabelle 2 began production last week in Los Angeles with director David F. Sandberg (Lights Out). Star Talitha Bateman posted pictures on her Instagram confirming the news. Annabelle 2 will take place several years after the first film and center on the dollmaker and his wife. They welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Soon after, Annabelle begins to target them.
Written by Gary Dauberman, who wrote the first film, Annabelle 2 stars Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija 2), with Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace) and Miranda Otto (Homeland). James Wan and Peter Safran will produce the film.
Annabelle 2 hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
