Angelyne (Teaser Trailer)

NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, launched on Xfinity X1 and Flex yesterday before being available nationally on July 15 and the streamer has released a slew of teaser trailers for some of their content, including the first look at the limited series Angelyne, which stars a nearly unrecognizable Emmy Rossum.

Angelyne is an unauthorized limited series based on the “Hollywood Reporter’s” investigative article about Angelyne, L.A.’s mysterious billboard icon. According to Peacock, the series is about fame, identity, survival, billboards, Corvettes, lingerie, men, women, women teasing men, men obsessed with women, West Hollywood, crystals, UFOs, and most importantly of all, the self-proclaimed Rorschach test in pink, glow-in-the-dark queen of the universe, Angelyne. Jefferson Hall, Brian Carpenter & Lukas Gage co-star.

I’ve missed Emmy Rossum ever since she left Shameless so I’m definitely interested in checking this one out. Also, being from Los Angeles, Angelyne is kind of the stuff of legend over here as she’s one of the first personalities to become famous by blatant self-promotion, ala, the Kardashians.

Angelyne is expected to launch when Peacock debuts its services nationally on July 15.
