FX’s American Horror Story is adding a familiar face for the upcoming election-themed seventh season. Scream Queens and daughter of the late Carrie Fisher, Billie Lourd has been added to star opposite Sarah Paulson. Season seven, which will premiere at its usual October date, will be an election-themed cycle though Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are currently not slated to be on on the show. The first episode will begin one day after the election.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy said,
“All of the stuff that I’m developing now is going to be about illuminating and highlighting people who don’t have a voice in our culture — people who are ignored by the current administration and who are afraid and feel terrorized that their lives are going to be taken away.”
