Alfred Molina To Reprise Role As Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 3

The Multi-Verse is drawing near!

The cast of Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, the follow-up to last year’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, is adding a face from the past.

Variety has first reported that Alfred Molina is returning to the Spider-Man universe for the first time since 2004 to reprise his role from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. He will once again play Doctor Otto Octavius, the scientist who experimented on himself and became known as the supervillain Doctor Octopus – also known as Doc Ock.

The addition seemingly confirms that the sequel will utilize the multiverse as a key part of its storytelling. Molina is widely considered as one of the greatest performances in a comic book film in his Spider-Man 2 portryal.
