Arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day is the full trailer for After & it fully looks like it’s Fifty Shades of Grey for the young adult crowd.
The story of After originally started off as Harry Styles fanfiction published by Anna Todd on the website Wattpad. When the fanfiction about the One Direction member garnered millions of views, Simon & Schuster signed Todd to a publishing deal, altered the story to change the identity of the male lead from Styles to fictional Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin) & published it as a book. The book series has continued with four follow-ups: three direct sequels & one prequel so the hope from the studio is that this becomes a franchise.
The film follows young and naive Tessa (Josephine Langford), who arrives at college and runs across bad boy Hardin, quickly feeling a connection with him. However, things are complicated by Hardin’s past, his relationship with his family & his friends. Not to mention Tessa arrives at school with a boyfriend, her high school sweetheart Noah (Dylan Arnold).
