One of the most popular installments in the Rocky franchise may be making a return. Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone announced that Rocky IV will be getting a director’s cut for its 35th anniversary that will be cut by the actor/director himself.
The news announced by Sly on his Instagram account,
Along with the confirmation of the director’s cut, Stallone confirmed the robot given to Paulie will no longer be in the film, stating, “I don’t like the robot anymore.”
Upon its initial release in 1985, Rocky IV became the highest-grossing sports movie for 24 years grossing $127.8 million at the domestic box office and $300 million worldwide.
