Rumors are swirling that Warners Bros. and DC Comics will move forward with a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel. Man of Steel was the first film of the DC Cinematic Universe and stars Henry Cavill as the last son of Krypton. An anonymous source told The Wrap that the new film is a top priority for Warner Bros.
While the studio has not officially confirmed the sequel, the idea isn’t too far-fetched as the original made $668 million at the global box office and with the standalone Batman film coming, it makes sense for there to be another Superman film.
Who?
There is no confirmation on who will direct, produce, write or star in the sequel. Previously, Zack Snyder directed Man of Steel and Christopher Nolan produced it. Fans can assume that Cavill will return to the role.
When?
We could expect Man of Steel 2 to premiere sometime in late 2018 or November 2019. Wonder Woman, Justice League, Aquaman and the standalone Batman film will debut first.
