70th Annual Emmy Award Nominations Announced

The 2018 Emmy nominations have been unveiled and as has been the case in recent years, streaming and cable services dominate the noms in the major categories.

Netflix beat HBO with the most Emmy nominations, scoring 112 total noms to HBO’s 108. It’s the first time that HBO hasn’t led all nominees in 18 years.

The 70th annual Primetime Emmys are set to air on NBC for the first time since 2014 on Sunday, September. 17, from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost and Michael Che are set to host.

At the age of five, I knew I wanted to write movies and about them. I've set out to make those dreams come true. As an alumni of the Los Angeles Film Academy, I participated in their Screenwriting program, while building up my expertise in film criticism. I write reviews that relate to the average moviegoer by educating my readers and keeping it fun. My job is to let you know the good, the bad, and the ugly in the world of cinema, so you can have your best moviegoing experience. You can find more of my writing on Instagram @g_reelz.
