The first season of 13 Reasons Why was one of 2017’s most controversial shows as there was some that felt the show glorified suicide without fully preparing young teens for the climactic finale that followed. That backlash did not stop Netflix from renewing a second season whose trailer was released yesterday.

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of 13 Reasons Why which will premiere on Friday, May 18. Netflix stated,

Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the start of our characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery. Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah’s death concealed. A series of ominous polaroids lead Clay and his classmates to uncover a sickening secret and a conspiracy to cover it up.

 

The new season will surely be one of Netflix most talked about series this summer.
