Margot Robbie’s next project is causing quite the stir. Robbie will star as American figure skater Tonya Harding and is currently filming on the set of the upcoming I, Tonya biopic. She’s gone under quite the transformation where you can barely recognize her, donning a fat suit and facial prosthetics.
No word yet on the exact plot, but it is expected for the film to show Harding’s rise to fame through the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, possibly including the drama with fellow skater and rival Nancy Kerrigan. Harding is best known for attacking Kerrigan in the knee with a club-like instrument after leaving a practice session.
Robbie is joined by Sebastian Stan, who will play her ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly, and Allison Janney. American figure skater Tonya Harding, best known for the drama she had with fellow skater, Nancy Kerrigan.
I, Tonya debuts in theaters next year.
