Coming Soon: Tomb Raider

Lara Croft is back. Based off of the 2013 game featuring an updated version of Lara Croft’s origins. The archaeologist-adventurer will be played by Alicia Vikander in a reboot directed by Roar Uthaug. Lara returns home in this version to discover that her father has died. Before he passed, he left her a video message. He discovered a tomb called the Mother of Death. Her job is to get to it before a mysterious organization called Trinity arrives and ruins the fate of the world.

The last time Lara was played onscreen was in 2001 by Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

Tomb Raider will hit theaters on March 16th, 2018.
