Sony’s Venom Release Date Confirmed

Sony has set a release date for its Spider-Man spin-off film, Venom. TheWrap has reported that Venom will be released on October 5, 2018. This version of the well-known villain will not exist in the shared MCU as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Sony first revived the film back last year and according to a report from 2016, it is being said that the film, is “being envisioned as a franchise apart from and unrelated to the upcoming Spider-Man MCU movie in the works with actor Tom Holland.”
